Hellec has gone back to French league. Always seemed a happy fella. Had a number of decent games especially towards end of the season. Worryingly a rumour Brendon Webster Mansfield is off. I thought he was one who would stay unless the overseas quota is an issue. Teams are beginning to announce retentions now so I hope we here something soon.

It seems none of the clubs actually know 100% what their score is before the Oct 16 announcement. Bits of info leak out and some chairmen drop hints, but the talk about last minute IMG ratings is mostly guesswork dressed up as fact.  I thinks there will be a ½ dozen retained from the current sq8ad.  Mainly the bigguns I'd thought

I was told Brandon Webster-Mansfield was signed on an 18 month deal, so I would expect to see him next season.

Really high quality signing although in my naivety I hadn’t seen the forwards as an area where we were super weak. One suggestion though is we knock this word salad of ‘committed for….’ On the head. Makes it sound like he’s about to be locked up. Let’s stick with ‘signed for’. 

There has been times when signing for Broncos probably meant you should be committed. Given the close proximity of Plough Lane to Springfield Hospital, they would be well catered for.

And now Siliva Havili from the Bunnies... probably through new coach Jason Demetriou.  At last some decent signings and before the end of the 2025 season!  Now that's got to be a first

Yes the coherent approach to recruitment is a bit disconcerting. I suspect it may not catch on. If it does we may struggle to find things to complain about although I have high hopes the logo rebrand will be a dogs dinner.

Wouldn’t mind hearing about our retentions. Suspect may be post Super League expansion announcement. I read Smith May be going to York. Shame as he was good but understandable especially as York may be a SL team this time next week. I assume Meadows won’t be on the way back.

Yes, would have liked to keep Smith. Just have to hope your 2nd assumption isn't true. We may still be awaiting the 2nd coming of Jesus, but we don't need the 3rd coming of Jimmy (with respect).
