i'm of the same mind, and was on a thread on facebook the other day

i did say that KR needed the win more than Wigan, but not really to do with the league position, as Wigan need KR to lose at least 2 more games if we beat them on Friday, but to do with "getting the monkey off the back" as Wigan have had the better of them in the big games over the last 18 months or so. Some agreement but also some differing opinion, but actually had a decent chat and not just rubbish


For Wigan, i'd take a performance better than last week v Wire and as fans we can start to see the build towards the play-offs i.e. increase in intensity / better attacking structures. I'd love to see us win, but dont think its the end of the world if we dont as its unlikely we'll retain the LLS. 
If we can keep French and Miski out for another week, and then we have them and Thompson plus Junior with a couple of weeks off, we should hopefully be good to build with a fit team (bearing in mind Walters only just back too and O'Neill / Havard still not hit their straps) and go full tilt in the play offs

one thing i have noticed over the last couple of weeks re KR is that both Leeds and Leigh had success against their right side defence, with the quick players getting on the outside of their defensive line. Our backs have plenty pace to burn and with Farrimond liking to take on the line we may get some joy out of that if we go at their right edge??

Should be a great game with the form you're in. I don't think KR will want to lose momentum but I could see them having a couple of tricky weeks, starting with Leeds this week. They put a lot in to Friday night and mentally they'll know the LLS is done.

They've hammered us the last two seasons at their place so I'm hoping for a much improved performance and at the very least if we lose then not by many. 

I  think we have the form player in the comp in Sailor at the moment- only Lewis has better stats with tries and assists. It's taken Sailor time to settle but if you recall I don't remember French and Field being great immediately. 


The big conundrum we have now is selecting the right spine. I've no idea how he fits Welsby back in as Sailor has been much better at 1 than 6. Unfortunately for us, Welsby is also better at 1 than 6. 


Personally I would have Sailor at 1, Welsby at 6 and Lomax dropped but I don't think that will happen. I can also see Welsby pulling his face if asked to play at 6 as he will want to play 1 for the rest of the season with the Ashes coming up.


Dagnall too has had a real breakthrough season and has been superb, negating the loss of Murphy 

- Is this more reflective of the (poor) quality of recent opposition or a fair representation of Saints being a real force?
- How is fitting Welsby back into the team going to affect the dynamics now Sailor has had a good run at FB? 
- How do you rate your GF chances now - we know Saint's are usually difficult to beat regardless of form and now they have found attacking threat look to have a chance?   (I'm guessing you'll say 'see how we go after KR away....?).
