We discussed this at our last BullBuilder board meeting and whilst we understand the enthusiasm for this there were a few problems for us:



- There would be tax implications for the trust if we start trading goods

- There would certainly be a minimum order quantity, and we might not sell them all (even if people have 'pledged' to buy them)

- We might get some sent back and have to refund them (manufacturing error, quality, wrong size, "not what I expected" etc).



Because of this the board decided they were not prepared to risk our members donations in this way. That's not to say that we don't think it would be a good idea for someone from RAB to pick it up and organise it in the same way we did the player sponsorship, and these concerns would be less of an issue if it was done this way as a group of individuals rather than a registered organisation. For what it's worth, if someone does organise some of these, I'll buy one!

that's fair enough, could it be done in partnership with the bulls store?

Last time I spoke to the club about getting a fans design shirt done they were a bit cagey about it, for very much the same reasons I suspect. Also they have to get their stuff supplied from Kooga with the large minimum orders and lead times that entails. Best off someone on here finding a local manufacturer I suggest (after getting clearance from the club, not that I imagine they'd have any problems with it).

The club can wear unbranded items. I know this because I provided the gameday tops for the water, physio, doctor, trainer etc. Also I'd presume that they can sell unbranded merchandise, they would be silly to get things like scarves etc from the kit supplier. I'll try to find that out.



How about if a local manufacturer made them and a donation from every top went to Bullbuilder?

Hello everyone, I am a follower of Doncaster as well as the Bulls. Our supporters trust last season came up with a retro 80s style Dons shirt. It was manufactured by Spall and had the supporters trust logo rather than the clubs. It was equally as good as the official replicas at £35.
