I am not trying to be negative about Cas, because my teams are in a bit of a slump. I was impressed with the Cas victory over Wigan, like I was with the Cas victory over Leeds earlier this year. But when two players from the same team go at each other it becomes a Super League wide issue for all club fans to worry about. The only thing I am glad about is that it was not on TV.

Why does it?



I don't think Leeds, Wigan or anyone else will be concerned about two players from Cas having a barney.



It's of no relevance whatsoever to other clubs. It's an internal matter for Cas to sort out along with going over a poor second half performance.

The important fact is that there was a violent confrontation between two players from the same team. This is unprecedented in the professional division in the UK as far as I know. The closest thing to this in the NRL (and it wasn't really close) was when Sydney Roosters' Craig Fitzgibbon and Brett Finch started swearing at each other on field a few years ago after a mistake by one of them. However what happened at Castleford was naked violence between team mates and we should be concerned about it precisely because we don't live in the Middle East .



At the same time the BBC website chooses to try to cover up this embarassing event by not mentioning it in the match report.



I am performing a community service in revealing what happened because the BBC chooses not to.

That puts a whole new complexion on the incident; down with this sort of thing!
