| Finally a decent signing and a bit of good news amongst the despair. I know the club have been trying to get him here for years and i wish they had managed it earlier in career. He is still a really good athlete and has a pass in him, which we have sorely missed and this will allow Gagai to go on the wing. Here is how i see the current side and what we are still missing:
1) Nial Evalds 2) Adam Swift 3) (missing pacey centre with good hands) 4) Taane Mile 5) Jacob Gagai 6) (missing pacey half back who can attack the line) 7) Adam Clune 8 Oliver Wilson 9) Zac Woolford 10) Tom Burgess 11) Jack Murchie 12) Sam Hewitt 13) Harry Rushton
14) Joe Greenwood 15) Matty English 16) (missing pacey interchange hooker who can attack from dummy half) 17) Rogers/King/Cudjoe
Players to move on asap: Bibby, Lolohea, Sutcliffe, Golding
It;s such a shame we spent all that cap money on Burgess or we could have had two more really good spine players for what we are paying him. No idea who sanctioned that move, but it's so counterproductive. We have some really good young forwards here who are now one step further away from first team action due to this.
I was totally against extending Lolohea's contract, but that happened, and as we have seen he now produces more interception passes that scoring ones and his magic is well and truly behind him, need to move on as soon as possible. Sutcliffe and Bibby are championship standard players gobbling up cap space and i can see absolutely no reasons to play either of them above young playes like Halsall, or Flanaghan who have shown promise and can be used in reserve.
Overall it's frustrating because i can see some green shoots with a crop of decent young players coming through, but we have not recruited wisely and of course have been terribly unlucky with injuries and it could lead to us losing those young players later in the year.

| I would have Leroy at 13, I think he's our most consistent player. I'm not sure Greenwood offers anything particularly. I'd like to see how Sutcliffe goes now. Recruitment hasn't been great for a while. Burgess hasn't offered a great deal so far, I saw him a lot at Souths and he never did long minutes, but could be explosive.
