The thread title is 'Super 8s points' my comment is regarding points/matches relating to that period of games hence why I never mentioned previous defeats and their effects (which is obvious to everyone).

So the suggestion is to make the end of the regular league season a bunch of dead rubbers for the top instead by resetting the points in the Super 8s? Doesn't seem like a good solution to me. It rewards mediocrity.



In fact, that's been the issue with SL since the licensing period started and the switch to Top 8. We've been rewarding mediocrity. Low and behold, that's what we got: mediocre games in the regular season that had little meaning, and poorly attended play off games that didn't feel deserved.



The solution? Play better next year. Not everyone deserves a prize.

Sounds reasonable,waste of time as it is now.
