The night of the Queens silver jubilee, the Headingley development fund draw was held at the Victoria hotel on York rd. An abundance of Leeds cup winners attended. Special mention to MICK SHOEBOTTAM. As the night progressed the conclusion of a raffle for young CHRIS SANDERSON was completed raising over £3,000 . Two days later my dad (Landlord at the time) said Leeds have lost the cup. I said would that have anything to do with you saying its getting a bit lively down here would you put it somewhere safe? I said dad I've slept with it for two nights. My dad just grabbed my head and kissed me. I think some people were pretty relieved. TRUE
