As in the Hull game thread I mentioned if any wanted to meet up to discuss our club and rugby in general. A few have said they up for it one guy even offering a round of drinks in his absence lol. Thanks for the offer.


I don’t drink anymore but it’s no reason to meet in a pub or any suitable venue if enough people are interested. 


Reason I brought this up is some of the posts on here in my opinion have not been nice and in some cases I felt a bit personal, I don’t for one minute think it would be anything like that if we got together. I’m not saying we sit holding hands etc but we could have a good debate and put are views and points across firstly on our club and rugby league in general.


So let’s see who responds to this and then if enough interest in it figure out date, time and place that is suitable for all. Feel free to add suggestions.

I wouldn't say no, i think sometimes reading messages can be taken differently than the meaning so can cause tension etc when it's not meant to be

I have a problem. I live miles away but travel up for 4 days or so every about every 5 weeks. If I can make your meet up I would love to attend. I would really like to shake a few hands but to be honest I'm unlikely to be around.

I hope we can get something on no matter what it is. Would be nice if a fair number of the regular posters could make it. Right now though from looking at responses there is not enough to make it worth it. 

Thanks Rico. Our dates are arranged to suit family really. I am up when Wire are away at Cas but have an unusually hectic schedule for those few days. 

It's a question of quality not quantity Even if there was only  3 or 4 that wouldn't be the point for me and it might be part of pre game routine that people could dip in and out of say three times a season.

It woukd either grow organically fizzle out to nowt or remain at a low number I don't think there is an appetite for a one off meeting an alternative to the club forum.

Not for me then unfortunately, I don’t want to be rocking up just to talk about that day’s game and given my current health status that makes it very difficult to attend games anyway this does not work for me.

Well mine was only a suggestion on the basis that it being arranged around a fixture woukd give reason for people to be out and about in one location.

There's plenty of valid reasons not to meet, mine woukd be work pressure and luving out of the area I wouldn't be able to rock up on a random Tuesday and thereby lies our collective problem
