| Suppose you've got to trust the processes in place, but at 180cm and 102kg he's not exactly massive for a prop, is he any better than Atoni, hes certainly smaller, and I'd like to think if we're going to use 11 overseas players next year the remaining quota spots should go more then project players.

| Millsy said he was excited about his signing so I don't think he's a project.

His track record is good, and he will have done his homework, just disappointed we've felt the need to max out the quota.

| We will have one place left if Atoni is joining Castleford.

We will, but only because of a technicality with Vagana, we're already at 10.

Obviously, Millsy's got an eye for a quality young and upcoming player with finds like Uele, Vagana, Rodwell, Seth & Caius, so as you say you've got to trust him, he's earned it. Tbh though, with it being our last quota spot and with the staff seemingly looking for a big impact Prop and the 2 guys we've last bought in Smoothy and especially Jazz, I thought if we were gonna bring someone else in, it would be someone more established than a player with 25 Cup games, I blame the club, they've risen my expectations loads. His size stats are a bit meaningless because who knows when they were taken, they could be from 2 years ago when he joined the Dolphins as a 20-year-old, so even in just a year, he could put a fair number of kilos on. Watching him, he seems to have strong, big legs, with a big leg drive on contact, which is something DP and Millsy want in middles. Looks very similar to Amone at his best, he's the same height, with those big legs and hits the line similarly, hard and fast, so his stats aren't a problem. He also looks like the kind of player who can do decent meters as well, which would be a big bonus.

| Looking at his highlights and his stats he reminds me of Adam Watene.
Not the biggest but a big minute prop who is mobile and has a very high % tackle success rate for a prop.
From the limited footage he also looks like he is big on effort areas which is probably a weakness in Atoni.
Many people seem to like Atoni because he looks the part….which he does….but he hasn’t consistently played the part. When he has been on form he’s been decent but when he’s been bad he’s been poor.
If we are to improve this team we need to remove the weaker players and replace them with better. Atoni is our worst Prop. Hopefully this lad is better, but we won’t know that till we see him in 2026.
All our signings so far point towards a pack being mobile and capable of longer minutes.

| Am I missing something, or does this not put us at just 9 quota players? Walmsley, Tevaga, Rodwell, Hamlin-Uele, Lolesio, Lino, Niketemo, Smoothy, Fa'atili. We could use another if we want to. Mills mentioned on the Heritage podcast that we'd probably use one more, and looks like Lolesio is it.

Yeah there is room for one more as Vagana is classed as federation trained.

| Would be wise to keep a quota spot and salary cap free in order to cover unexpected problems. Imagine in pre season if three of your four hookers broke down with long term injury or two of your half backs or four of your props etc . You need to leave some wriggle room to give you best chance of coping with the sort of issues we have encountered this season. It was interesting to hear Mills quote Wigan as having 12 middles in their squad , referring to the attritional nature of the position and needing plenty of quality to cover if you want to be consistent for the whole season
